Tellurian recognizes the importance of investing in and supporting the communities where we live and work through strategic donations and neighborhood involvement.
We strengthen relationships with our partners, contractors, customers and communities by working together on projects that advance the greater good. We also provide opportunities for our employees to work together as a team in their communities. From our inception in 2016 to 2019, Tellurian employees have invested over 1,000 hours of community volunteer service around the world. As a company, we have donated over $2 million in causes benefitting our communities.
Take care of our environment
Educate our children
Live with good health
Love our neighbors
We strive to make a difference in all the communities where we have interests:
We invested $1.5 million to build the Belle Cove Road for residents in the Driftwood community and surrounding area, the epicenter of our planned Driftwood LNG operations. This new road improves access from local neighborhoods to a highway, filling a longtime need. See here for our other Louisiana projects.
We volunteer and donate to a number of causes in Houston, including the Houston Food Bank, SEARCH Homeless Services, MS 150 and Casa de Esperanza, which strives to break the cycle of child abuse and neglect for at-risk children and families. In addition, Houston employees have participated in energy-conservation efforts as part of Earth Day. Together, we achieved a carbon-emission reduction of over 4 metric tonnes in 2019, equivalent to taking one car off the road in Houston for 10,500 miles.
We donated SGD50,000 toward Room to Read’s Literacy Programme. This donation establishes a library at a rural government school in India’s Utter Pradesh state where the needs are vast. Our donation also provides teacher training at the same school for the next four years, where instructors will learn the best strategies to teach primary-school students in the first and second grades to become independent readers.
Other community donations in Louisiana
